Coffee with C

I had been worried that after our all too brief encounter that C and I were done. We haven't been able to chat much because (as I found out today) life got in the way for both of us. The texts had been short and lacked that "fire" we felt early on. But we finally had the chance to meet after work today for a cup of coffee. We brought each other up to speed on what had been going on since we last saw one another.

Finally our talk turned to "that night". I wasn't sure about bringing it up but I felt I had to clear the air face to face. We agreed that it was too rushed and that we owed it to each other to meet again with more time to be together. The only question that wasn't answered was "when". But I have a feeling we'll meet in a couple of weeks once she gets some personal things in order. I told her I was always a text or IM away if she needed to talk. And she told me again that she is looking forward to more intimate time together. "I have to be careful," she told me. "I start smiling when I think about what we've done so far and people in the office give me a look."

Yeah, it is kinda hard to keep that Cheshire Cat grin off your face when you know someone has the hots for you...
